Sep Alavi is a General Partner at White Star Capital, a global early-stage venture capital fund based in New York, USA. Since joining the investment firm in 2017, he has focused on executing seed-stage investment deals across the broader technology and blockchain sectors. Prior to his current venture capital role, Alavi co-founded Residence Ventures and established Icon Partners, a boutique consulting firm specializing in blockchain technology and digital assets. He originally began his professional career in 2002, accumulating over twelve years of direct experience working in traditional capital markets before transitioning into startup advisory and early-stage investing. Alavi holds a bachelor's degree in finance from Concordia University, located in Montreal.
