Sebastian Saywood

Sebastian Saywood is a Partner and Head of the Midlands region for BGF, operating out of Nottingham and Birmingham in the United Kingdom. He originally joined the investment firm in 2018 and was formally promoted to his current leadership position in 2024 to oversee regional equity investment teams. In this capacity, he directs growth capital allocations for an organization that has historically deployed more than £4.5 billion across over 600 small and mid-sized businesses. Saywood has personally structured and led several major regional equity transactions during his tenure at the firm. His portfolio of successful deals includes notable investments in recognizable companies such as Jola Cloud Solutions, Metpro, and Blue Light Card. His current focus remains on identifying and funding high-growth enterprises throughout the UK and Ireland to support their long-term expansion initiatives and operational scaling.
