Sebastian Kreuz

Sebastian Kreuz is the Head of BIVF EU and an Investment Manager at the Boehringer Ingelheim Venture Fund, based in Ingelheim am Rhein, Germany. He initially joined Boehringer Ingelheim in 2004 as a research scientist specializing in functional genomics, ultimately dedicating over 20 years to the corporation while advancing through research and development roles such as Laboratory Head and Research Project Leader. Prior to his corporate tenure, Kreuz earned a PhD in Molecular Biology and Immunology from the University of Stuttgart. After transitioning to venture capital investing in June 2019, he began leading the European team and securing board director seats at several biotechnology startups, including Abalos Therapeutics, Centauri Therapeutics, and Quantro Therapeutics. His current venture investment mandate primarily focuses on funding innovative therapeutics and early-stage drug discovery platforms targeting immuno-oncology, regenerative medicine, and infectious diseases.
