Sebastián Burgos

Sebastián Burgos is the Head of Business Development at ChileGlobal Ventures, the venture capital arm of Fundación Chile. Previously, he served as the General Manager and Director at Algramo, a sustainability-focused startup recognized as Latin America's most innovative company in 2018. His earlier professional experience includes working as the Startup Lead at Kaufmann Ventures, a mobility-focused company builder, and holding portfolio management roles at Expande. In his current capacity, Burgos is actively involved with the $2 million Coppernico fund, which has deployed $900,000 across three distinct cohorts of startups from the Aster accelerator. He holds a commercial engineering degree and a Master of Business Administration from Universidad Católica. His career focuses on venture capital and corporate innovation, with a strong emphasis on scaling impact-driven businesses in climate tech, smart cities, and the mining sector.
