Sean Roades

Sean Roades is the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Pinnacle, an enterprise messaging software startup currently based in San Francisco, California, United States. Founded in 2024 alongside co-founder Ivan Zhang, the company participated in the Y Combinator Summer 2024 batch to build a specialized API and Python SDK for Rich Communication Services. Prior to launching Pinnacle, Roades worked directly at YouTube, where he developed machine learning models designed to optimize billions of dollars in e-commerce advertising spend across the global video platform. He previously completed his undergraduate education at Harvard College, graduating with a formal degree focused on the intersection of computer science and econometrics. His current professional focus centers on providing developer infrastructure for interactive mobile marketing, enabling enterprise businesses to deploy personalized, app-like text messaging capabilities through next-generation SMS protocols.
