Sean Mendy

Sean Mendy is a Co-Founding Partner at Westbound Equity Partners, an early-stage venture capital firm based in Palo Alto, California. Prior to his current role, he spent a decade leading development at the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Peninsula and served as an Entrepreneur in Residence at Sixth Street. At Westbound Equity Partners, formerly Concrete Rose Capital, Mendy directs pre-seed to Series A investments across the enterprise, EdTech, and SaaS sectors. He has built a portfolio where two-thirds of the companies are led by Black or brown founders and fifty percent are women-led. His investment track record includes early backing of notable technology companies such as Esusu and Figma. Mendy currently focuses on deploying financial capital to underrepresented founders while pledging fifty percent of his firm's carried interest to nonprofits addressing racial opportunity gaps.
