Se Hwan Jeon

Se Hwan Jeon is the cofounder of Cerulion, a robotics software startup currently based in San Francisco, California, in the United States. Founded in 2024 alongside chief executive officer Lakshay Sharma, the company participated in the Y Combinator Summer 2024 batch to develop cross-platform middleware for advanced commercial robots. Jeon engineers systems designed to control, debug, and visualize commercial robotic hardware, utilizing an open-source GitHub architecture that reportedly delivers up to a 1000x improvement in communication performance while maintaining strict ROS compatibility. Prior to his current venture, he studied mechanical engineering at the University of Notre Dame before pursuing a robotics doctorate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His current technical focus specifically centers on optimal control, reinforcement learning for legged platforms, and the ongoing development of embodied artificial intelligence infrastructure for complex hardware systems.
