Scott Stern is a Partner at Origin Ventures based in Washington, DC, where he specializes in early-stage technology investments. Since joining the firm in 2016, he has directed capital toward the Creator Economy, Future of Work, and Automotive Tech sectors, focusing on novel data applications. His venture portfolio includes the fleet management software provider Idelic, where he partnered with CEO Nick Bartel to scale operations. Before entering venture capital, Stern spent six years as a quantitative trader managing deregulated electricity products using big data, and he helped launch the thermoregulation apparel startup Qore Performance.
