Scott Stankey

Scott Stankey is the CEO of Vilya Inc., a biotech infrastructure company based in San Francisco, California. Under his leadership, Vilya secured a $22 million Series A funding round in 2023 to develop AI-enabled manufacturing platforms for therapeutics and announced a pilot facility in South San Francisco slated for early 2025. Prior to this role, he served as the COO at Genialis, an AI drug discovery firm, and held leadership positions at the bioscience accelerator IndieBio. His earlier career includes operational and engineering roles at synthetic biology companies Amyris and Genomatica, following his graduation with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Davis. Stankey currently focuses on accelerating domestic pharmaceutical manufacturing and utilizing artificial intelligence to build more resilient, onshore drug production supply chains in the United States.
