Scott Lenet

Scott Lenet is a Partner at Cerity Partners and President of Touchdown Ventures, operating out of Los Angeles, California. He began his venture capital career in 1992 at Geocapital Partners before serving as a Managing Partner at DFJ Frontier and founding SmartFrog.com, a cash-back rewards program subsequently acquired by Cybergold. Over his two-decade investing career, Lenet has backed portfolio companies such as Boom! Studios and Netpulse, while securing notable exits including the sale of MaxPreps to CBS and World of Good to eBay. He holds an MBA in Entrepreneurial Management and currently teaches entrepreneurship and venture capital as an adjunct professor at the University of Southern California. Following Touchdown Ventures' 2025 merger with Cerity Partners, his current focus centers on corporate venture capital strategy and diligence within the industrial manufacturing and food and agriculture sectors.
