Scott Gazelle is the Founder of GreyBird Ventures and a Professor of Radiology at Harvard Medical School, based in Boston, Massachusetts. Holding an MD from Case Western Reserve University and a PhD from Harvard, he joined Massachusetts General Hospital in 1992. He currently serves as Director Emeritus of the Institute for Technology Assessment and Vice Chair for Academic Advancement in the Department of Radiology. Over a 30-year career in medical technology development, he has authored more than 300 scientific articles and three textbooks while developing globally utilized tumor ablation techniques. Gazelle holds board positions at several healthcare companies, serving as a director for Atlas 5D and Ceres Nanosciences, and chairing the boards of Hummingbird Diagnostic and Angstrom Bio. His current focus centers on early-stage venture capital investment and comparative effectiveness research for cancer screening and diagnostic imaging technologies.
