Scott Ferguson

Scott R. Ferguson is a Partner at Summit Partners based in Menlo Park, California, where he focuses on technology growth equity investments. Prior to joining the firm in 2009, he worked in the Technology Investment Banking Group at Piper Jaffray. He holds a Bachelor of Science in finance from the University of Kansas and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Throughout his tenure at Summit, Ferguson has directed capital into enterprise software companies, holding board positions at firms including Perforce Software, which he joined in 2016 before its acquisition by Clearlake Capital. His investment portfolio also includes Calypso Technology, HelpSystems, and Teaching Strategies, which was later acquired by KKR. Ferguson currently concentrates on sourcing and executing late-stage technology investments while advising his portfolio management teams on strategic corporate expansion.
