Scott Dunlap is the Managing Partner at Shasta Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm headquartered in Menlo Park, California. Prior to assuming his current investment role, he served as the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of TheLadders, which he successfully sold to CorpNet in 2014, and worked as an entrepreneur-in-residence at Stanford GSB. Over his 20-year career in the broader technology ecosystem, Dunlap has backed prominent enterprise software and consumer internet companies, including Okta, Airtable, and TubeMogul, which was acquired by Adobe in 2016. Recently, he led a 2024 investment in a new artificial intelligence tools platform and advised a portfolio company through its Series C funding round in January 2026. Dunlap currently focuses on directing early-stage venture capital across the SaaS, AI, and music technology sectors while actively supporting founder development and operational scaling.
