Scott Dennis

Scott Dennis is a Partner at FusionX Ventures and the Co-founder of D&K Engineering, based in San Diego. Since launching the early-stage venture capital fund in August 2016 alongside partner Ken Hood, he has directed strategic investments across an initial portfolio of five companies. Dennis previously gained extensive product leadership and commercialization experience through his operational roles at Ascential Technologies and Numilk, building a strong technical foundation in mechatronics and smart machine design. Through his dual executive roles, he leverages over sixty years of collective team experience to advise hundreds of early-stage startups on commercializing complex hardware products and navigating the manufacturing process. His current investment focus centers on Internet of Things startups and connected machines that fuse hardware, software, and cloud technologies across the medical, life science, food and beverage, and retail sectors.
