Scott Collins

Scott Collins is the Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer at Summit Partners, based in Boston, Massachusetts. He joined the global growth equity firm in 1996 and previously founded and managed its London office from 2001 to 2016. Over his 25-year tenure, Collins has directed technology sector investments and served on the boards of more than 30 companies, overseeing notable exits including Signavio to SAP and Calypso to Thoma Bravo. Before entering private equity, he worked as a strategy consultant in the financial institutions group at McKinsey & Company and held federal government roles at the White House. He holds an AB in economics and a JD from Harvard University, where he served as Managing Editor of the Harvard Law Review. His current focus remains on scaling enterprise software, fintech, and cybersecurity companies while overseeing firm operations.
