Scott Brun

Scott Brun is currently a Partner at Abingworth LLP, where he focuses on life sciences venture capital and therapeutic investments. Previously, he served as Vice President of Scientific Affairs and Head of AbbVie Ventures, expanding the corporate venture portfolio to more than 20 active companies. During his tenure as Vice President and Head of Pharmaceutical Development at AbbVie, and earlier at Abbott Laboratories, he oversaw global pipelines and contributed to the regulatory approvals of major therapeutics including Skyrizi, Rinvoq, and Venclexta. He holds an MD from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, completed his ophthalmology residency at Harvard Medical School, and currently holds board seats at Atsena Therapeutics and Jasper Therapeutics. Brun leverages over 25 years of clinical and corporate experience to guide biopharmaceutical drug development and strategic investments across oncology, immunology, and neurology.
