Schaffer Ochstein

Schaffer Ochstein is a Venture Partner at Climate Capital, where he leads investments in early-stage climate tech startups from the pre-seed to Series B stages. Over the past five years, he has built a portfolio of companies focused on global economic decarbonization, contributing to a firm that backs more than 50 startups annually. His investment mandate spans energy storage, energy generation, mobility, and grid technology, and he is actively involved in the firm's Network Fund and Syndicate. Prior to his career in venture capital, Ochstein worked in the fintech and mobility sectors, holding positions at Capital One and Deloitte. He holds a Bachelor of Science in biomedical engineering and a Master of Science in engineering management from Johns Hopkins University. Ochstein currently focuses on identifying and scaling innovative technologies that drive emissions reduction across the global economy.
