Saul Klein is the Co-founder and Managing Partner of Phoenix Court, based in the United Kingdom. Before establishing his current firm, he served on the original leadership team at Skype prior to its 2005 acquisition by eBay, and was the co-founder and original CEO of Lovefilm, which Amazon acquired in 2011. Klein subsequently spent eight years as a General Partner at Index Ventures and co-founded the early-stage fund Seedcamp, through which he backed technology startups including Revolut and UiPath. His nearly 30-year career also includes co-founding Platoon, acquired by Apple in 2018, and launching the Zinc incubator in partnership with the London School of Economics. Appointed to the UK Prime Minister’s Council for Science and Technology in 2020, Klein currently focuses on supporting seed-stage founders building global businesses rooted in innovative science and societal impact.
