Sassan Kimiavi

Sassan Kimiavi is a Partner at Blu Venture Investors and the Chief Executive Officer of ALTA Development LLC in Bethesda Maryland. Before transitioning to venture capital, he founded Paragon Technology Group in 1997 and served as its chief executive for fifteen years until its sale in 2012. He holds a mechanical engineering degree alongside a master of science and a doctor of science in computer science from George Washington University. At Blu Venture Investors, he serves on the Innovations Investment Committee to fund early stage technology startups across the region. His firm recently participated in a Series B round for Sorcero worth over 42 million dollars and a Seed round for IntelliGRC worth over three million dollars. He leverages his extensive background in enterprise IT governance and complex systems development to support federal agencies and commercial sectors.
