Sarah Lucas

Sarah Lucas is a Partner at Celesta Capital and Managing General Partner at Lucas Venture Group, operating primarily out of the Silicon Valley and Los Angeles regions of California. She previously served as the co-founder and CEO of Beyond Type 1 from 2015 to 2019, building the organization into the world's largest digital diabetes community. In 2020, she co-founded a premium ocean wellness company alongside environmentalist Philippe Cousteau, and over the past fifteen years, she has raised more than $15 million for various charitable organizations. Lucas also served as an executive producer on the 2023 documentary "Pay or Die," which examined the systemic impacts of insulin pricing. Her current investment focus centers on deep tech, healthcare, and sustainability, with a specific emphasis on supporting female and minority entrepreneurs across the broader venture capital ecosystem.
