Sarah Cone

Sarah Cone is the Founder and Managing Partner of Social Impact Capital, an early-stage venture capital firm based in New York, New York. She began her venture capital career in the emerging technologies group at Omidyar Network before spending two years as an Associate at Illuminate Ventures. Cone launched Social Impact Capital in 2019 after running a self-funded four-year vehicle, utilizing an impact arbitrage strategy to identify overlooked social and environmental ventures. Her firm was an early investor in unicorns Prometheus Fuels and Andela, alongside OpenInvest, which was later acquired by JP Morgan. By June 2021, the firm achieved a 100% follow-on financing rate across its two funds, with 94% of those rounds led by top-tier venture capital firms. Cone currently focuses on funding early-stage founders who are building scalable businesses to address pressing global challenges.
