Saqib Awan

Saqib Awan is a Partner at Lightspeed Venture Partners based in the San Francisco Bay Area, where he focuses on early-stage investments in enterprise software and artificial intelligence. Before joining Lightspeed in 2020, he spent over five years at Khosla Ventures, serving as a Principal and Vice President driving investments across the enterprise technology sector. Throughout his venture capital career, Awan has partnered with and directed capital toward several prominent, high-growth technology companies, including Glean, Moveworks, Snorkel AI, and ThoughtSpot. His earlier professional background includes strategic consulting at McKinsey & Company and engineering roles at General Motors, complemented by an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and an engineering degree from the University of Waterloo. Today, Awan leverages his technical engineering foundation and operational expertise to support founders building next-generation enterprise applications and generative AI infrastructure.
