Santiago Salazar

Santiago Salazar is the Chairman and Partner at Bynd Venture Capital, based in Lisbon, Portugal. He co-founded the firm, originally known as Busy Angels, in 2010 alongside partners such as Francisco Ferreira Pinto and Lurdes Gramaxo to back early-stage technology founders. Under his leadership, the firm manages a portfolio of over 60 regional investments, supporting more than 70 active founders across the Iberian Peninsula. In late 2024, his team launched a €40 million Fund III backed by institutions like Fond-ICO, targeting approximately 40 pre-seed and seed investments. The fund has already deployed initial capital into emerging software and artificial intelligence companies, including Equall, CircuitLeap, and Spot. Salazar leverages nearly two decades of prior experience as a chief executive officer for international corporations to focus on investments in digital infrastructure, consumer goods, and sustainability technology.
