Sanjay Sathe is the Managing Partner at Seedfund, an early-stage venture capital firm based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. Before joining Seedfund, he served as a Partner at Mumbai Angels and began his professional career in investment banking at Kotak Mahindra. Drawing on his engineering background, he has directed more than 50 early-stage investments across the SaaS, fintech, healthtech, and consumer tech sectors. He currently maintains an active portfolio of over 30 companies, including BetterPlace and the acquired startup Stayzilla. Sathe, who holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, recently led a March 2024 investment in an AI-driven edtech startup and launched a climate tech seed fund in January 2026. His current focus remains on providing pre-seed and seed-stage capital to emerging technology founders and driving growth throughout the Indian startup ecosystem.
