Sanjay Mistry

Sanjay Mistry is the Vice President of Venture Investments and New Company Creation at Johnson & Johnson Innovation, JJDC, Inc. Over his 15-year tenure at Johnson & Johnson, he has held multiple leadership roles, including Head of JLABS at San Diego and Senior Finance Director for Janssen R&D. Previously, he served as an investor at Quaker Partners VC, where he contributed to key deals involving Durata Therapeutics and RainDance Technologies. Mistry has co-founded several biotechnology startups, including Fusion Pharmaceuticals, Provention Bio, and Aro Therapeutics, and currently serves on the boards of TRex Bio and Rapport Therapeutics. He holds a PhD in Pharmacology from the University of Aberdeen and is credited with 40 US patents, 160 foreign patents, and 20 peer-reviewed publications. His current professional focus centers on funding early-stage biopharmaceutical and medical technology startups.
