Sangwoo Lee

Sangwoo Lee is a Managing Director at Korea Investment Partners based in Seoul, South Korea, where he oversees early-stage investments across the technology and consumer sectors. Before his promotion to Managing Director in 2022, he served as an Associate at the firm from 2015 to 2018 and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Yonsei University. With over a decade of experience in venture capital, Lee currently manages an active portfolio of more than twenty companies, including notable early investments in Viva Republica and Yanolja. In March 2024, he notably led a $50 million Series C funding round for the fashion e-commerce platform Musinsa, further expanding his footprint in consumer technology. His current investment focus centers on identifying and scaling high-growth South Korean startups operating within the fintech, SaaS, and artificial intelligence industries.
