Sangeeta N. Bhatia

Sangeeta N. Bhatia is a Venture Partner at Catalio Capital Management, the Director of the Marble Center for Cancer Nanomedicine at MIT, and an Independent Director at Vertex Pharmaceuticals, based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She earned a Bachelor of Science from Brown University, a Doctor of Medicine from Harvard Medical School, and a Doctor of Philosophy from MIT. Prior to her current roles, she served as a member of the Medicine Department at Brigham & Women's Hospital and has been a professor at MIT since 2005. As a biotech entrepreneur, she has co-founded six companies, including Satellite Bio, Glympse Bio, and the 2022 launch of Port Therapeutics, while also receiving the 2014 Lemelson-MIT Prize. Her current professional focus centers on advancing nanomedicine applications for cancer therapeutics and liver disease while also guiding early-stage biotechnology investments.
