Sanat Rao

Sanat Rao is the United States-based Chief Investment Officer of the BTC Fund at Monarq Asset Management, while also serving as a managing partner at Shaizen Ventures and a senior advisor at Jar. He began his career as a chip design engineer at Intel, where he worked on microprocessor design teams before building the company's $100 million embedded and ADAS business in emerging markets. Transitioning to venture capital and corporate development, Rao held positions at Intel Capital and IDG Ventures, ultimately investing over $100 million across 30 companies and executing 12 M&A transactions with a cumulative value of $1.5 billion. Prior to his current roles, he was a General Partner at BlockTower Capital following its acquisition of Gamma Point Capital. Today, his professional focus centers on market-neutral cryptocurrency strategies, decentralized finance platforms, and early-stage venture capital.
