Samuel Kanu

Samuel Kanu is an Associate at Novastar Ventures based in Nairobi, Kenya. In this role, he focuses on sourcing and due diligence for early-stage technology startups across East and West Africa, contributing to a firm that manages over $300 million in assets. Kanu recently participated as an investor in the $80 million close of Novastar's Fund III in the first quarter of 2025 and has been involved with more than ten portfolio companies, including Twiga Foods and Kasha. Prior to his promotion to the Associate position in 2024, he gained experience in startup operations and earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Information Technology from the University of Nairobi. After speaking on impact investing trends at the Africa Tech Summit in 2026, Kanu continues to concentrate on scalable ventures operating within the fintech, agritech, and healthtech sectors.
