Samuel Garcia

Samuel Garcia is a Partner at the venture capital fund Amplo, where he leads the firm's Seed and Series A investment efforts. He graduated from the Business Honors Program at the University of Texas at Austin and Harvard Law School, where he currently serves as a part-time lecturer teaching a course on venture capital business diligence. As an early-stage investor, Garcia holds board director seats at eight startup companies, including Lightyear, Wizehire, Steno, and Axion Ray, and previously backed a portfolio company that was acquired by Deel. He is also a board member and former Vice President of LatinxVC, an organization dedicated to expanding Hispanic representation within the venture capital ecosystem. Garcia currently focuses on leveraging his legal expertise to identify early-stage technology investments while actively mentoring underrepresented founders across the broader startup industry.
