Samson Mesele

Samson Mesele is a Partner and General Counsel at Union Square Ventures, a prominent venture capital firm based in New York. Before joining the firm in April 2021, he spent over six years as a corporate attorney at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz, where he advised clients on mergers, acquisitions, and strategic investments. Earlier in his career, Mesele worked in investment banking at Morgan Stanley and earned a Juris Doctor from Yale Law School, alongside a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Duke University. In his current capacity, he oversees complex deal structures and legal operations for a portfolio of more than 100 companies spanning the web, mobile, cryptocurrency, and climate technology sectors. Mesele focuses on structuring venture capital transactions and managing regulatory frameworks to support the firm's diverse global investment initiatives.
