Samantha Whitmore

Samantha Whitmore is the Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of New Computer and a Founder Fellow at South Park Commons, currently based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Prior to launching her current venture, she served as the Head of Engineering and a Software Engineer at Kensho Technologies, an artificial intelligence and financial technology firm. During her tenure there, Kensho was acquired by S&P Global for $550 million in 2018, which represented the largest artificial intelligence acquisition in the technology industry at that time. Following this corporate exit, Whitmore held the position of Head of Engineering at Maximus and also spent time conducting academic research in the specialized field of physics. Her professional background combines deep technical software engineering expertise with a current focus on developing consumer-facing artificial intelligence applications and advanced video super-resolution software.
