Sam Yagan

Sam Yagan is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Fifth Star, Inc. and the Co-Founder and Managing Director of Corazon Capital. He previously co-founded and served as CEO of OkCupid, which was acquired by Match Group in 2011, and established SparkNotes, which sold to Barnes & Noble for an estimated $30 million. Yagan later served as CEO of Match Group, leading the dating platform through its 2015 initial public offering, and operated as CEO of ShopRunner until its acquisition by FedEx in 2020. Additionally, he guided Grindr through its 2022 IPO, currently chairs the boards of SpotHero and Voltage Park, and earned academic degrees from Harvard University and Stanford Graduate School of Business. His professional background centers on scaling consumer internet platforms, advancing e-commerce enablement, and directing early-stage venture capital investments across the technology sector.
