Sam Shawki

Sam Shawki is the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of MagicCube, a digital transaction security startup based in Santa Clara, California. Prior to establishing MagicCube in 2014, he served as the Global Head of Remote Payments at Visa, where he directed international mobile commerce strategies and managed the commercialization of digital payment products. His earlier technology career includes key product and executive roles at Netscape during the foundational years of the commercial internet, as well as founding the technology firm eBop. Under his leadership, MagicCube has developed software-based trusted execution environments for mobile devices, securing more than $15 million in venture funding from institutional investors including Azure Capital Partners, Epic Ventures, and NTT Data. Shawki currently focuses on replacing legacy hardware-based security terminals with scalable software solutions to facilitate secure digital payments across global markets.
