Sam Li

Sam Li is the CEO and Co-Founder of Thoropass, an information security compliance and audit technology platform. Before launching Thoropass, he served as an Entrepreneur in Residence at Bain Capital Ventures and was the Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of the Y Combinator-backed startup Zinc Platform. He began his professional career as a financial analyst at Goldman Sachs and holds a degree in Computer Science from the University of Virginia alongside an MBA from Harvard Business School. Under his leadership, Thoropass secured institutional backing from JP Morgan and Fin Capital, expanding its product suite to include penetration testing and AI cybersecurity solutions while ranking number 427 on the 2024 Inc 5000 list of fastest-growing companies. Li currently focuses on scaling enterprise compliance infrastructure, managing audit services, and automating privacy standards across the broader cybersecurity sector.
