Sam Lessin

Sam Lessin is a General Partner at Slow Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm based in San Francisco, California. Before transitioning to venture capital, he served as a product manager at Facebook from 2011 to 2014 and was the co-founder and CEO of Fin, a social finance application that was subsequently acquired by Intuit. At Slow Ventures, which currently manages over $1 billion in total assets, Lessin has backed prominent technology startups and recently participated in Figma's $1 billion secondary funding round in March 2025. He holds an AB degree in applied mathematics and economics from Harvard University and recently helped raise over $200 million for his firm's tenth fund in late 2024. His current investment focus centers on early-stage enterprise and consumer opportunities, specifically targeting artificial intelligence, developer platforms, and frontier technology sectors.
