Sam Jones

Sam Jones is a Partner at Torch Capital, an early-stage venture capital firm specializing in technology investments. He began his career in London at Canaccord Genuity, where he worked across equity research, trading, and investment banking with a focus on the consumer, retail, and technology sectors. Jones later transitioned to New York to analyze master limited partnership investments at the hedge fund Yorkville Capital, and subsequently co-founded the UK-based health-technology startup Medcircuit. Additionally, he previously collaborated with Playfair Capital to support their portfolio company Dojo, and he holds a Master of Business Administration from Columbia Business School alongside a Bachelor of Arts in Law from the University of Bristol. His current investment focus centers on seed-stage consumer and technology startups, leveraging his diverse background in transatlantic finance, hedge fund analysis, and healthcare entrepreneurship.
