Sam Forman

Sam Forman is a General Partner at Forman Ventures based in San Francisco, California, where he leads seed and Series A investments in early-stage technology startups. He manages over $150 million in assets under management and oversees a portfolio of more than 15 companies, featuring two notable exits to Salesforce and Intuit. In March 2025, Forman led an $8 million seed funding round for the artificial intelligence startup Nexlify. Before establishing his current firm, he served as a Principal at Bessemer Venture Partners from 2018 to 2022 and held earlier investment banking roles at Goldman Sachs. He frequently shares industry insights publicly, recently speaking at TechCrunch Disrupt. Holding a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Stanford University, Forman focuses his current strategy on scaling emerging companies within the artificial intelligence, financial technology, and enterprise software sectors.
