Salim Hassad

Salim Hassad is currently a Partner at Newfund Capital, an early-stage venture capital firm based in Paris, France. He began his professional career in 2015 at JPMorgan in New York, where he worked for three years before eventually relocating to Europe. In 2018, Hassad transitioned to the management consulting firm Roland Berger in Paris, where he specialized in conducting technology due diligence for private equity firms and advising early-stage startups on their Series A fundraising strategies. Since joining Newfund in February 2021, he has functioned as both an investor and an operating partner, assisting portfolio companies in securing more than $100 million in aggregate Series A financing while also supporting their mergers and acquisitions activities. His current investment focus centers on identifying and scaling early-stage companies across the fintech, digital health, foodtech, energy transition, SaaS, and online marketplace sectors.
