Sal Matteis

Sal Matteis is the Founding Partner at Earthshots Collective, an early-stage investment syndicate based in Lausanne, Switzerland. Prior to this current role, he served as the Director of Deeptech, AI, and Fintech Corporate Venture Capital Investment at Fastweb and Mediobanca in partnership with the venture studio Founders Factory. His broader executive experience includes tenures as the Chief Executive Officer of Fusion Partners and the Managing Director at the global startup accelerator Startupbootcamp. Earlier in his corporate career, Matteis worked as the Head of Platforms for Yahoo across the Europe, Middle East, and Africa region. He also established the organizations Deeptech.EU and Next Humanity Ventures to further support emerging technologies and founders. Matteis currently focuses his active investment syndication and venture building efforts on early-stage deeptech and artificial intelligence innovation within the broader European technology ecosystem.
