Sai Surbehera

Sai Surbehera is the San Francisco-based Co-founder of Lapis, an artificial intelligence startup developing generative image advertising technology. Founded in 2025, the four-employee company provides automated marketing content generation in over fifteen languages for more than 1,000 marketing teams, including enterprise clients like Hyundai. Before launching Lapis, he served as the Head of Growth at Warp, where he helped scale the business from zero to $2.5 million in annual revenue. He previously worked as a Machine Learning Engineer on Walmart's Algorithmic Search Experience Team, building synthetic data pipelines, click-through rate algorithms, and price prediction models. Surbehera holds a master's degree in computer science from Columbia University and an undergraduate degree in information from the University of Michigan. His current focus centers on leveraging machine learning and generative artificial intelligence to optimize digital marketing and search automation systems.
