Şafak Tüfekçi

Şafak Tüfekçi is a Principal at ScaleX Ventures, focusing on late seed and Series A technology investments across Emerging Europe. He joined the firm as an intern in 2017 and advanced through multiple roles, including Associate, before assuming his current position. During his tenure, Tüfekçi has contributed to numerous deals, notably helping execute 13 investments in 2022 alone, which included the firm's initial backing of the cybersecurity startup Kondukto. Prior to his venture capital career, he served as a Partner VC at Focal and gained technical experience as a software engineering intern at Rasyonet and Apsiyon. He holds dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Computer Science and Economics from Koç University, alongside an economics degree from the University of Notre Dame. His background combines software development expertise with macroeconomic analysis to evaluate early-stage technology startups.
