Saeed Amidi

Saeed Amidi is the Founder and CEO of Plug and Play Tech Center and an investor at Plug and Play Ventures, based in Sunnyvale, California. He began his career building businesses in real estate and packaging through The Amidi Group before becoming an early angel investor in tenants of his Palo Alto commercial property. His early investments in companies like Google, PayPal, and Dropbox yielded several significant financial exits, including a reported $100 million return from Dropbox. Under his leadership, Plug and Play has expanded to operate in over 50 global locations, partnering with more than 550 corporations and managing $500 million in assets as of 2023. Amidi currently focuses on overseeing early-stage tech investments in over 250 startups annually across global accelerator programs while expanding the firm's open innovation platform to further accelerate artificial intelligence adoption.
