Sacha Michaud

Sacha Michaud is the Managing Partner at Launch Africa, based in Cape Town, South Africa. He previously served as a Partner at Knife Capital from 2014 to 2020 and holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Cape Town. Managing over $100 million in funds, he has executed more than 50 early-stage investments, backing prominent African technology companies such as unicorn startup Yoco. In 2024, he led the $42 million close for Launch Africa's Fund II targeting climate tech, and he joined the fintech TymeBank as an advisor in early 2025. A frequent speaker at industry events like AfricArena and Web Summit Lisbon, he actively bridges European and African venture ecosystems. His current investment focus centers on seed and Series A rounds across the fintech, agritech, healthtech, and enterprise software sectors within emerging markets.
