Saad Jamal is the current CEO of Claybird, a Y Combinator-backed artificial intelligence advertising company and video marketing agency. Previously, he built machine learning infrastructure at Tesla Autopilot, where his engineering work successfully reduced model training time for the division's planning and controls systems by 50 percent. He also developed a specialized machine learning compiler framework at Nuro and trained advanced reasoning models alongside Ashish Vaswani, co-author of the foundational transformer architecture paper. Before transitioning to artificial intelligence engineering, Jamal served in public service at the Supreme Court of Pakistan and attended the University of Chicago Law School, which he ultimately left to pursue a career in the technology sector. His career currently focuses on leveraging his extensive background in autonomous systems and machine learning infrastructure to build scalable generative video models for commercial advertising applications.
