Ryan Pawell

Ryan Pawell is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Indee Labs, an emerging biotechnology company based in Berkeley, California. Since participating in the Y Combinator Winter 2017 batch, he has directed a team of five focused on the discovery, development, and manufacturing of nonviral intracellular delivery systems. Under his leadership, the enterprise secured a $2 million contract in November 2022 to scale its proprietary Hydropore platform specifically for cell therapy applications. Pawell subsequently facilitated a strategic investment from BroadOak BioTools Venture Fund in April 2023 to further commercialize this microfluidic technology for T cell immunotherapy. His technical background centers on the genome editing of human primary T cells utilizing microfluidic vortex shedding and CRISPR methodologies. His current focus remains on leveraging mechanical and hydrodynamic microfluidic methods to advance clinical health outcomes across the broader gene therapy sector.
