Ryan Cotton

Ryan Cotton is a Partner and the global head of the Consumer vertical at Bain Capital Private Equity, as well as the Head of Bain Capital Real Estate, based in Boston. Since joining the firm in 2003, he has spent over two decades directing major private equity transactions and has served as a key strategic advisor to the real estate division since its founding in 2018. Before his tenure at Bain Capital, he worked as a strategy consultant at Bain and Company and held a role in baseball operations for the Boston Red Sox. He earned an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar, and holds an AB in Philosophy from Princeton University. Cotton currently focuses on leading global consumer product investments and overseeing major real estate acquisitions.
