Ryan Coon

Ryan Coon is a Venture Partner at the venture capital firm M25, currently based in Chicago, Illinois. He previously co-founded Avail in 2015, scaling the real estate technology platform to serve over two million landlords and renters before selling the company to Realtor.com in December 2020. Following this acquisition, he led the Rentals business at Realtor.com, drawing on his earlier corporate background as an investment banking associate focused on financial services mergers and acquisitions at BMO Capital Markets. Coon holds Bachelor of Science degrees in accounting and finance with honors from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and he has completed over 50 angel investments while serving on the board of directors at La Casa Norte. His current professional focus centers on executing early-stage venture investments, advancing real estate technology, and mentoring founders throughout the Midwest technology ecosystem.
