Ruben Hernandez

Ruben Hernandez is the Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of DevLabs, a startup accelerator and investment fund based in Oakland, California. Alongside co-founder Jose Lopez, he utilizes profits from a prior software development company to provide support services and direct investments ranging from $25,000 to $100,000 to early-stage software ventures. Before establishing DevLabs, Hernandez served as Vice President of Engineering Services, Land Management, and Resource Stewardship at the Tennessee Valley Authority, managing a $9 million budget and 30-person teams across international operations in Ecuador, Honduras, and Mozambique. He holds a Master's degree from the University of Southern California and earned an Executive MBA in Strategic Leadership from the University of Tennessee in 1997. His current professional focus centers on accelerating first-time software entrepreneurs originating from rural areas and underserved global communities outside major technology hubs.
