Roy Saar is a Partner at Mangrove Capital Partners and co-founder of the 40RTY venture capital fund, based in Tel Aviv, Israel. Before entering venture capital in 2011, he operated as a serial entrepreneur and angel investor, selling a technology startup to virtualization company Parallels in 2007. At Mangrove, Saar directed early-stage investments across the European and Israeli ecosystems, contributing to a portfolio of eight unicorns including Skype, WalkMe, and Wix, which reached a $7.4 billion valuation following its 2013 initial public offering. He recently managed a $14.5 million early-stage investment in Lightico and is transitioning out of Mangrove as the firm closes its local office. Saar is currently focused on leading 40RTY, a seed and pre-seed fund backed by Wix founders Avishai Abrahami and Nir Zohar, targeting artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and digital health startups.
